About Trinder

Trinder Jaspal Counselling in Letchworth, Hitchin, Stevenage, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.Trinder is an accredited registered counsellor and supervisor for counsellors and non-counsellors with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). During her 20 years of practice she has worked with a variety of people, problems and cultures. She is multilingual, speaking fluent English, Punjabi and Hindi and can therefore offer an understanding of the issues that Asian families might be faced with.

Trinder is a person centered counsellor with knowledge and experience in various theoretical models and approaches through her continuing professional development (CPD). This enables Trinder to work with individual needs and issues that are unique to you. Working therapeutically with a humanistic approach ensures she works in a process free from any religious influences or beliefs.

Trinder works according to the code and ethics of BACP.  As an accredited registered member of BACP she is bound by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and subject to the professional conduct procedure therein.

As well as running her private practice, Trinder works with the NHS via the Counselling Foundation in Stevenage. and with the Hitchin Counselling Services as a supervisor.

As a counsellor Trinder has an extensive portfolio. In the past she has worked within a GP surgery, a homeless hostel, with various counselling agencies. Her work with young people (aged 16-25) has been extensive as a full time counsellor at a further education college. She has also run a number of workshops across including anger management, stress management and self-esteem and confidence building.

Trinder has trained with Relate to work with marriage, relationship and couples counselling including those experiencing domestic abuse and has also undertaken training with Babette Rothschild to work with trauma, disassociation and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Letchworth Counselling serves Letchworth, Hitchin , Baldock, Stevenage and surrounding areas in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
